The Foundation is dedicated to promoting economic prosperity and a better quality of life in the communities along the projected I-66 corridor. We will work at the local, state and federal level to coordinate efforts to fund and build the various segments of the highway.

This site is part of our goal to serve as a resource center and central clearinghouse for information related to I-66. On this site you will find background on the Foundation, media articles, maps, and links to sites with status reports on I-66 projects. Also included is membership information, upcoming events and links to Foundation newsletters.

MESSAGE FROM CONGRESSMAN ROGERS

It's the start of a brand new year and I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead in our effort to make Kentucky a better place to live, work, and do business.

After years of planning, preparation, and design work, we are now moving forward on what I believe will be one of the most significant projects ever undertaken in Kentucky . This past summer we officially kicked off construction on Interstate 66, the East to West Highway that will one day connect the coal fields of West Virginia to the corn farms of Missouri .

I-66 is absolutely critical to the future of Kentucky . Improving our transportation network is one of the most effective ways to promote economic growth and prosperity. Nowhere is the need for new roads more apparent than Southern and Eastern Kentucky where people have been isolated from the rest of the Commonwealth and the nation for far too long. I-66 will provide our citizens with easier access to health care, open our communities to tourists and travel dollars, and provide additional supply lines for the new businesses we are working to create. The highway will also improve safety for people traveling in and around the area.
